This short film kinda warmed my heart ... (watch film before reading below)
I have been having a lot of conversations recently, about what my options are in the next five years. Not just in terms of keeping my family off my back when it comes to marriage (yes they are going full force) but also when it comes to my immigration status. Going to law school will give me another three years, but what about after that? They US government doesn't really like sponsoring non-corporate non-sciencey types for H-1 visas. My options have been narrowed down to fake marriage and/or asylum and/or moving to Canada.
My gut instinct to the first one is hell to the naw! That's just one other big ass lie for me to live ... so I would expect that watching this short film would kinda bring up the same reaction. But for some reason, whether it's just that its well-made, the acting is genuine or that lady is hell fine ... it made me smile.
